Meet Riggs!!!

Every family has that one lovable goofball who makes everyone smile. Around here, that’s Bigg Riggs.

As the very first Olde English Bulldogge to call Freedom Mountain home, Riggs is the reason we fell in love with this incredible breed. His larger-than-life personality, massive head, gentle soul, and heart of gold helped shape not only our program, but our lives.

Now happily retired, Riggs has fully embraced the good life on the Mountain, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Whether he’s convinced he’s a 95-pound lap dog, enthusiastically “waving” at everyone who passes by, or making instant best friends with every person he meets, Riggs has never encountered a stranger. If you’re lucky enough to visit Freedom Mountain, chances are he’ll be the first to greet you with a wagging tail and that unmistakable Bulldogge grin.

Affectionately known as Uncle Riggs, he has become the gentle giant of the Mountain. He adores the puppies, patiently teaches them the ropes, and somehow always seems to know exactly when a little confidence, a little playtime, or a little extra love is needed. Watching him interact with the next generation is one of our greatest joys.

Riggs may be retired from fatherhood, but he’ll never retire from being one of the greatest treasures at Freedom Mountain. His love, loyalty, and goofy spirit are woven into the fabric of our family, and life on the Mountain simply wouldn’t be the same without him.

Some dogs leave paw prints on your heart.

Bigg Riggs built the trail.
